In the Labor Movement, we know how important it is not only to succeed, but to succeed together in solidarity with our fellow Union Brothers and Sisters. This is why we are SO EXCITED to announce a 100% graduation rate for our most recent Music City Construction Careers Apprenticeship Readiness Program! This class came prepared not only to succeed individually, but to support one another along the way and to grow stronger as a group throughout the program. We celebrated the graduation of all 9 of our Fall 2021 participants on Friday, November 12, and we are so excited to continue supporting these individuals as they begin their careers in the Union Building Trades.
From this class, we have graduates going on to careers with the Electricians, Iron Workers, Insulators, and Laborers. We are so thankful to these Unions and all of our partner Unions for ongoing support of our program and its graduates. Our Fall 2021 students had opportunities to learn first hand about the trades at our Building Trades Career Fair and work site visits to Rosendin Electric and Walbridge Building Design and Construction. Our participants also worked hard to complete First Aid, CPR, and OSHA 10 certification and to complete the 120-hour NABTU Multi-Core Craft Curriculum. It was two weeks of hard work, but we believe the dedication these participants showed bodes well for their careers in the Union Building Trades. We welcome them to their new careers, and into our Middle TN Labor Movement!
