This November, we held our third class for Music City Construction Careers’ Apprenticeship Readiness Program. Participants learned on the job skills, received an introduction to the building trades, became OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid Certified, and received training on important issues like discrimination and sexual harassment in the workplace (among many other things!). We are so excited to support the members of this class as they graduate our program and begin their next steps into middle-class careers in the Union building trades.
To get inspired, check out the commencement speech from our graduation given by Stand Up Nashville’s Executive Director Odessa Kelly (her speech starts at 3:15). You can also see some photos of our class and our graduation below. And if you’re interested in being a part of our next class, don’t hesitate to apply today! Dates for our next class have not been announced yet, but we accept applications on a rolling basis.
Thanks for you continuing interest and support in the work we’re doing at Music City Construction Careers!
