Congratulations to Our Spring 2024 MC3 Graduates

Congratulations to Our Spring 2024 MC3 Graduates

We are thrilled to celebrate the graduation of our 13th cohort of Music City Construction Careers Apprenticeship Readiness Program! This milestone marks not just the completion of 120 intensive hours of apprenticeship readiness curriculum for 26 Nashvillians, but also the embodiment of our commitment to building a skilled, diverse, and empowered workforce in Nashville.

MC3 equips graduates with the foundational skills and knowledge essential for excellence in the construction industry. They will now matriculate into local federally-registered Union apprenticeship programs, many of which grant priority entry to our program graduates, a testament to the quality and value of our MC3 training.

The graduation ceremony, held on Friday, February 23rd, at the SMART 177 Union Hall, was a celebration of dedication, hard work, and community. It was an honor to have Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell join us, demonstrating his support for our program, our Union building trades, and the pro-worker leadership he provides to our city. This event was more than a graduation; it was a gathering of representatives from our community, building trades Unions, employment partners, and local elected leaders. Together, we celebrated the achievements of our graduates, inspired and motivated them for the next phase of their careers, and promoted union apprenticeship opportunities in Nashville, especially to communities historically underrepresented in the trades.

As we applaud our graduates, we also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the organizations that have made this program possible. A huge thanks to the founding sponsors of MC3, the Nashville Building Trades Unions Council and the Central Labor Council. We also thank IBEW 429, UA 572, and SMART 177 for hosting our Spring class, and LIUNA 386 and Insulators 86 for enriching our curriculum with specialized instruction.

Let us all congratulate our newest graduates on their significant achievements and support them as they embark on the next chapter of their careers. Together, we are not only building structures but are also constructing the foundations for thriving working families and a prosperous Nashville. Thank you for your continued support of Music City Construction Careers. Together, we are making a difference.
